- Our client is a large international global banking firm which provides a wide range of financial offerings. This role is a key position within their corporate services division in the region.
- This is a senior role within the business and is responsible for establishing a strong control environment for risks across the firms portfolio. Within Operational Risk management you will proactively and strategically identify/manage risk, plan for business continuity and adhere to regulatory requirements in all functional areas. Furthermore you will act as a liaison with Business Continuity Management teams to lead planning and related testing and work closely with firmwide risk management to work on firm and regulatory mandated risk initiatives. Responsibility for the development and oversight/governance of a globally consistent process to effectively respond to life safety events will also be a critical part of your role. You will also have deliverables within Vendor Performance Management to deliver and manage a centralised process to ensure there is an equitable and transparent relationship between managers and vendors and act as an independent escalation point for vendors.
- To be considered you will need at least 12 years of relevant business experience with a proven track record of exceeding performance goals in a dynamic international business environment. You will need to have operational risk experience from within the financial services within banking. A proven ability to manage and interact with staff at all levels will be important as well as strong business acumen and proven leadership skills in building a cohesive team and constructing and delivering persuasive proposals for improvements across diverse functional teams. Fluency in written and spoken English is critical, mandarin a plus.
