Job Description

Working together with the Head of Credit Risk & Policy, you will provide the following support and leadership in the areas of:
1. Credit Risk Management Strategy
 Jointly derive and implement credit risk management strategy within the Bank's risk management framework to manage credit risks in the wholesale lending portfolio
 Jointly define and achieve desired portfolio shape and characteristics that would maximize return on capital within acceptable risk tolerance/loss volatility
2. Business
 Development and implementation of credit risk management strategy within the overall risk management strategy and risk management framework
 Development of new credit programs and maintenance of existing credit programs for standardization on credit solutions and risk management approach
 Development and maintenance of the whole credit cycle policies and procedure standard, as well as the portfolio risk management standard that timely identifies risks and mitigating actions
 Monitoring and anticipation of changes in credit environment for proactive credit risk management activities. Reduction of P&L volatility by prompt identification of potential risks / issues, and actions
3. Processes
Credit Policy Management
 Maintenance of the bank's Credit Policy and Credit Procedure for SME Banking according to agreed risk tolerance and applicable governance controls
 Supervision on implementation and enforcement of the credit policies and risk control procedures for consistent applications across markets; ensure that processes are in place
 Renewal of country Wholesale Banking Credit Approval Documents as a way to exercise credit governance and risk control
 New credit programs development to deliver scalable lending solutions according to business and risk strategies
Risk Management Capabilities Improvement
 Development of risk management capabilities standard
 Implementation of capabilities standard
 Establishment of performance management mechanism that drives continuous improvements
Portfolio Management
 Develop a portfolio risk management standard that matches key risk characteristics of the exposures, and enable effective controls
 Drive continuous improvement on portfolio risk monitoring and management capability
 Understand sensitivities to key risk drivers and potential stress impact on the portfolio. Monitor external factors such as state of the economy, regulatory environment and other emerging risk trends
4. Risk Management
 Identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Bank and the role the individual plays in managing them
 The ability to interpret the Bank's financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
 Act as the wholesale banking risk control owner under the Bank's Risk Management Framework (including relevant Operational Risk Framework ownership for Credit risk)
 Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility
