Our client is an established European based bank with growing operations in the APAC region.


This is a senior controlling role within the finance function and you and your team will be responsible for management and timely completion of all aspects of financial reporting, Basel reporting, group and external tax reporting, statutory and FRR reporting. Strong management skills will be critical as you will manage the accounting and finance teams encompassing accounting procedures, internal controls and accounts payable. You will need to be able to challenge the business stakeholders on their figures in line with IFRS and group reporting and be a key contributor in various projects that affect the finance environment.

To be considered for the Senior Finance Manager role, you will need a minimum of 9/10 years of commercial experience from within the banking sector - however if less than that, you may be considered for contract Finance Manager (12 months). Ideally you will have qualified in the big 4 but critically you must have worked within a bank for at least 4/5 years of which some should be from corporate banking. This role would suit a motivated ambitious professional who has had experience of working in medium sized organizations. You will need to have strong IFRS knowledge and HKMA exposure would be useful but not critical. You will need to be able to work effectively both strategically and also in a more detailed hands on way when required. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English is critical ( Chinese preferred also ).
