Job Description

A leading Global investment manager, investing in alternative investments is looking to hire a Financial Controller (Qualified ACA or CA) to oversee the London and wider European business. This is a newly created position to support the current growth and development of the business across Europe, in a professional, understated and exciting business.

The company provides a value-orientated, opportunistic approach to investments across Private equity, Distressed Debt, Real Estate, European High Yield and Senior loans.

As the newly appointed Financial Controller you will lead, manage and develop a team of two people and be responsible for the financial control function.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Ownership and oversight of the year-end audit process and be the primary liaison for external auditors.

Oversee the preparation of year-end financial statements (FRS 102).

Provide accurate preparation and timely delivery of regulatory, compliance and tax schedules, across multiple jurisdictions.

Detailed reviews of quarter-end management accounts,

Preparing and reviewing monthly operational funding requirements

Take a proactive approach for the ongoing evolution of internal control processes and procedures ad hoc projects and analysis to support senior and executive management teams as assigned.

You will be a qualified accountant ideally ACA or CA and have relevant post qualification experience.
Prior financial services experience is a must and ideally within asset management.
Extensive knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and accounting control policies
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office and advanced Excel.

Salary £75-85K plus Bonus and Benefits.
