Position Summary

A prestigious global investment bank is looking for a Vice President - Investment Banking Division for its rapid expansion in the Asia Pacific region. The position is to be based in Hong Kong with responsibilities to provide innovative solutions to meet clients' financial needs and execute transactions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Vice President, you will help advise executives and the boards of companies on financial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions. You will be reporting to a ED/MD while leading and overseeing a team of 2 associates and 3 analysts to put together pitches. Other responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating the execution of corporate finance transactions including IPOs, mergers and acquisitions and capital raising
  • Assess potential deals, originate and execute new business transactions
  • Providing rapid and accurate market judgments to colleagues and clients
  • Refining and delivering client presentations in a mature and compelling manner
  • Engaging new clients and retaining strong relationships with existing clients
  • Keep abreast of corporate developments and rules and regulations
  • Communicating with regulatory authorities

Key Requirements

We are looking for a charismatic and powerful individual with a likeable personality and a track record of leadership. You need to be able to form effective working relationships with both clients and subordinates through collaboration, you must strive for excellence and exhibit the highest ethical standards. You will also come with a background of:

  • An advanced degree such as an MBA with outstanding academic standing (an advantage)
  • Professional qualification holders such as a CFA are highly preferred
  • A minimum of 6 - 8 years of investment banking experience from a reputable financial institution
  • Exceptional problem solving, organization and communication skills
  • Equipped with comprehensive knowledge of global markets
  • Client and solutions focused and guided by the highest standards of integrity
  • Experience in supervising and managing other professionals, foster team spirit and able to articulate and give clear instructions
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese is a must
