Job Description

A rare opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified accountant/auditor to join this leading firm in their corporate finance division in Central London.

The firm prides itself in their people and puts their employees at the heart of what they do. They support and encourage professional development, exciting and challenging work, along with the right financial reward. Their style is personal and they value their strong client relationships and genuinely partner-led service. Providing excellent learning and development opportunities for staff is an important part of what they do, along with their commitment to providing various social activities and genuine support for a work/life balance. This is demonstrated in their long-standing Investors in People accreditation and being named as one of Britain's Top Employers for every consecutive year since 2004.

The corporate finance division provides a full corporate finance service, generally on transactions with a deal size of between £2 million and £50 million. They regularly act as both the lead adviser and as the provider of transaction support services. As well as managing and negotiating the progress of transactions as lead adviser to clients, they possess significant capability as a specialist provider of due diligence and other investigative services to businesses. The role will include involvement in, and management of, a range of transactions including acquisitions (financial due diligence), disposals (sale advisory, where a buyer has been identified), AIM and Main Market admissions (reporting accountants), bank lending/refinancing (financial due diligence/pre-lending reviews), valuations (for a range of different purposes) and business planning. There will be opportunities to become involved with clients at a senior level and have a close working relationship with the Partners of the firm.

In order to be considered you must be a qualified accountant, ideally an auditor (with a strong exam history), have obtained a minimum of an upper second class honours for your bachelors degree and have obtained a broad training experience working with a range of clients in both size and sector. Previous transactional services, modelling or corporate finance experience would be advantageous, but is not a prerequisite. It is important that you are organised and commercially minded. In addition a flexible, professional approach and having the confidence and ability to establish credibility with Partners and clients is key.

Interviews will begin imminently, so if you are interested in being considered please send a copy of your CV as soon as possible.
