Job Description

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Income Audit Manager to join a renowned hospitality organisation based in Dubai. Managing a small team within the income audit function you will ensure the accuracy of income from a variety of income streams across the organisation

Duties will include:

· Implementing, developing and updating the income audit policies and procedures and duties in line with all relevant regulations

· Check accuracy of all income from various systems (front office, F&B, communications etc)

· Investigate any unusual entries - investigating as appropriate and flagging as necessary

· Ensure all rebates, adjustments, voids etc are tested for approval - highlighting any unusual items to Director of Finance

· Check foreign exchange rates are accurate with front desk

· Ensure all system reports are being prepared including night audits & housekeeping discrepancies, highlighting any concerns to Director of Finance

· Carry out spot checks are carried out across all revenue streams to ensure policies and procedures are being followed

· Ensure daily reconciliation of cashier reports and any outstanding or unusual activity is investigated promptly

· Scheduling cover within the income audit department, which is to be open all year round

· Ensure all cashiers perform their role in line with hotel standards and procedures

· Highlight any matters that appear to represent fraud or irregularity or significant failure of following internal controls

· Ensure all GL postings are prepared in a timely manner

· Assist as required with month end process to ensure accounts are prepared within the required timescales

· Ensuring all compliance is filed for future reference and tidiness of audit - taking into consideration of government regulations

· Liaise with other departments as appropriate to ensure smooth running of operations and create a positive work environment across all departments

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, although not customer facing, you must have a proactive approach to ensure the customer has the best experience and lasting memory of their visit. You should have strong analytical skills coupled with a technical understanding of business planning. You will be used to working to demanding deadlines and managing multiple projects at one time with excellent financial modelling skills and a strong understanding of operational procedures.
