Job Description

We are currently working in partnership with a leading global law firm, who are forward thinking and innovative with knowledge and experience covering Infrastructure, Financial Services, Technology and energy.

Through growth they are now looking for a Forensic Accountant to join their team to lead on projects for their National Forensic Team. For this Forensic role you will be leading across a variety of complex forensic projects covering commercial disputes, fraud investigations, forensic intelligence gathering and tax investigations.

Your key responsibilities for this Forensic Accountant role will include:

* Leading the National team across Projects and advising clients on complex and sensitive matters
* Advise on technical accounting issues covering post acquisition disputes and submissions to independent experts for expert determination
* Providing analysis of accounts and financial data to support the lawyers for mediation or settlements
* Managing Project Budgets and timelines
* Advise on commercial aspects of disputes including detailed loss calculations, interest calculations and business valuations
* Preparing decision trees analysis to assist with presentation of legal advice and assessment of settlement parameters
* Train and support junior members and complete desktop research of businesses and individuals
* Conducting fraud, financial and regulatory investigations
* Interviewing witnesses and sources in connection with investigations and disputes
* Reviewing, analysing and verifying evidence for use in court proceedings,
* Liaising with independent expert accountants and critiquing expert accountant reports

The key skills for this Forensic Accountant role
* Qualified Accountant (ACA /ACCA or equivalent )
* Proven Post Qualified experience within Forensic Accounting
* Knowledge of commercial litigation, expert witness, business valuations and investigations
* Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal
* Highly collaborative, a good team player and keen to contribute ideas
* Well organised, a problem solver, with the ability to analyse and assimilate information
