Responsible for leading and managing the Product Management and Pricing function for the company. This primarily includes leading product development, launch and review to in line with the company's annual, as well as medium to long term business objectives, managing the balance between profitability and risk. Working with the various distribution channels and partners. Addressing the developing market and customer focused product and solutions, as well as managing product portfolio in line with shareholder requirements will also be part of the function.
Responsible for leading and managing the Pricing Actuarial responsibilities in Product Management, which mainly entails leading and managing all aspects of product development and management from an actuarial perspective. This includes participating in the developing product strategies and engaging the related Steering Committees, with the aim of ensuring timely product development, implementation and launch.
Responsible for determining the prevailing to medium term economic and market conditions, as well as competitive product intelligence and analysis, and ensuring the relevant dynamics are documented and communicated to management, as well as ensuring market and competitive related decisions are worked into the product management process.
Responsible for leading and managing the Product Steering Committee, comprising of Distribution, Operations and Finance/Actuarial Heads, with the aim of determining product development and tactical incentive prioritization, as well as driving product conceptualization and design, and determining IT system and administration feasibility.
Responsible for leading and managing the Product Development Committee, comprising of Distribution, Operations, Finance/Actuarial and Legal functional teams, with the aim of ensuring product development, implementation and launch.
Responsible for obtaining and documenting product approvals both from internal Manulife and Thailand Regulator (OIC), as well as product endorsements from business unit and distribution heads.
Responsible for post product launch management, in terms of monitoring, analyzing and reporting actual experience against targeted sales, distribution and customer acceptance, competitive landscape and pricing assumptions.
Communication and implementation of vision and business strategy.
Continuously propose solutions to help achieve business unit objectives.
1. A minimum Financial or Business Degree
2. Certified actuary
3. Minimum 8 years' experience in actuarial, finance or distribution functions, with reasonable number of years in middle management role.
4. Good knowledge of the financial services sector and the insurance industry. Strong knowledge of insurance and wealth management products. Strong project management skills. Strong risk management ability. Excellent communications and engagement ability. Strong people relations management. Ability to lead, manage and develop teams.
