Argyll Scott celebrates National Best Companies Day 2017 and powers up the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for List.

1003rd March 2017 – Argyll Scott is celebrating National Best Companies Day today, 3rd March 2017, and wishes to congratulate all the recruitment consultancies that joined it on the 2017 Sunday Times100 Best Small Companies list.  The company is celebrating by starting the day with a free breakfast for everyone in the London office.  With its weekly Friday early finish initiative in progress, the teams should be starting the weekend at 16:00 – not bad!

In its second year of entering the accreditation, Argyll Scott was yet again honoured with a 3 star accreditation from Best Companies due to the high score it achieved on the Best Companies’ survey which assessed various factors of company life. The survey unveiled how employees genuinely perceive their work environment. This accolade reconfirms Argyll Scott’s status as an exceptional employer and applauds the commitment of our senior leadership and management teams to creating a fantastic workplace where everyone at all levels of the business feels valued, listened to and empowered.

Furthermore, Argyll Scott is delighted to announce that it significantly improved its ranking by powering up the list from 75th to 44th place in 2017, a giant leap of 31 places.  Moving into the top 50 companies on the list is a great achievement, particularly when the number of recruiters on the list fell year on year and against a backdrop of 5.4 million SMEs operating in the UK in 2016.

Yet again, the survey revealed that employees fully believe in the business’ mission, vision and values, the CEO and senior leadership team and feel motivated and contented with the way in which they are managed on a day to day basis. Additionally, it demonstrated that the changes, both big and small, made throughout the year following employee feedback, have impacted positively on the working lives of our employees. The incentive programmes rewarding performance and company initiatives focusing on improving communication, wellbeing and learning and development are appreciated and valued by employees.

John Hunter, CEO, comments “This is an excellent result for everyone at Argyll Scott.  It is testament to the unwavering commitment of the senior leadership team to create a business that does things differently not just for the benefit of our external stakeholders, but also for our own people.  We look to hire exceptional talent so we need to offer an exceptional environment in which they can excel.  By listening to and acting on the feedback of our teams, we have enhanced our employee proposition mainly by making a number of small incremental changes.  I am delighted our employees are happy in our workplace.  We will continue to invest in the business to augment the employee experience further as we seek to motivate our people to deliver first class recruitment solutions.”

Since its inception in 2010, Argyll Scott has always taken a proactive approach to offering a supportive, stimulating and fun culture free of politics whilst providing a highly competitive remuneration package for employees. It has endeavoured to create an environment where all employees feel empowered to offer suggestions and ideas on how the business can improve and grow.
