Our Private Practice team is staffed by a select group of qualified lawyers from leading City firms recruiting within both the domestic and international markets at all levels, NQ through to equity partner and teams. We work with City, US, West End, niche and international firms in London as well as markets such as the Middle East, Asia, Offshore and Australia, transporting lawyers across jurisdictions.

The candidate acquisition model includes a variety of methodologies tailored to a client’s particular need and includes: 

  • Database search. We have an extensive database which we share with our colleagues on our In-House team which is tightly managed and all candidates well-vetted
  • Advertising. We are committed to advertising throughout the year, both on and off line to ensure we have visibility in the market and candidates actively looking for a new role can apply for opportunities, both in the UK and overseas
  • Search. Both retained and contingent search is available for clients when necessary. We will map selective markets and make pro-active approaches to candidates who may not be looking for a new role, but will consider roles for which they are personally approached
  • Networking. Our legally qualified and well-connected consultants continuously undertake the usual networking associated with recruitment and we promote an introduction reward scheme for candidate referrals amongst the legal community.

It may be that all or some of these methods may be suitable, dependent on what the client wants to achieve and the specific vacancy that the firm is looking to fill. These variables could also impact fee levels and any ad hoc agreements, such as exclusivity, which we would seek to discuss in a face to face meeting with any new client. Our reputation is important to us and we will always have an open and honest discussion with our clients about their requirements versus the market, ensuring we never over-promise and under-deliver.
