Interim Lawyers

Sometimes employers are unable, or simply do not have the need, to hire someone on a permanent basis, but still require additional legal resources. The reasons for this are many and varied, but most commonly include:

• Maternity/paternity cover
• Long term illness cover
• Special project work
• Lack of permanent headcount or budget
• Lack of certainty about future workload

When these situations arise we are able to speak with lawyers who are immediately, or soon to be, available and they can be recruited on the employer's payroll for a defined fixed term, which can be subject to extension. If there are headcount issues, or a need for greater flexibility, we can take the individual(s) onto Argyll Scott's payroll on an hourly or daily rate, supplying them to our client under a contract for services.

Should budget be an issue we are happy to provide clients with a full cost analysis of the different options, prior to engaging our services, which can assist with building a business case for such a hire.
